Welcome to textiles at WSA we are a creative, innovative course that offers students to develop as authentic, individual designers in our vibrant studio environment, designing textiles for fashion, interiors examining innovation and sustainability throughout all years. BA Textile Design will nurture your creative, practical and professional skills. Having explored different aspects of textile design, specialise in woven, knitted or printed textiles, learning traditional manual processes alongside cutting-edge digital techniques. Part of a vibrant, creative art school campus, you’ll have access to superb studio space and equipment, such as Shima Seiki computerised knitting machine and Dubied knitting machines, and a range of looms including a TC2 digital loom. The programme includes an exciting opportunity to spend a semester working on live company briefs, or studying textile design overseas or to take a year out to spend in industry.
